Join a FUN and active volunteer community by volunteering with One Small Step! We are an emergency clothing bank that provides QUALITY clothing and LIFE ENHANCING services to FAMILIES and individuals living in poverty.
Volunteer opportunities are typically regularly scheduled weekly shifts. We rely on our volunteers for the majority of our day-to-day services. As such, we do request a one-year commitment for volunteering.

Donated clothes must be examined, sorted, steamed, hung, and stored. Volunteers who work in the processing area are responsible for ensuring quality and presenting the clothes in an attractive way. You would also be restocking the racks and baskets in the shopping area. The commitment is 3 or 4 hours a week.
*Mondays 10-2p, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9-12p and 12-3p, Thursdays 10-2p
Our clients need help registering and selecting clothes. Volunteers use their computer skills to collect basic client data and service statistics; another volunteer acts as a store associate to help clients with clothes, bagging their selections, and retrieving linens upon request. Knowing Spanish is a big asset! This may be the most challenging (but also the most rewarding) position available. The commitment is 3 or 4 hours a week.*
*Tuesday and Wednesday 9 AM to 12 PM, 12 to 3 PM, Thursday 6 to 8 PM
Friends Resale Boutique uses volunteers to price, prepare, and display items for sale. In the boutique, volunteers help customers and ring the sales. All proceeds benefit Clothes Cabin and this revenue is an important part of the agency! The basic commitment is 2 to 4 hours a week.**

Can't commit for a weekly shift? Ask to be added to our special events and fundraising committee invitations. Volunteers help those activities that are with fundraisers, event management, marketing, seasonal sorting and large donation processing.
